The principle of the assay is based on competition between 17α-OHP radiolabelled with iodine-125 and 17α-OHP contained in the samples to be assayed for a given number of antibody binding sites adsorbed onto the tube walls.

*One-step assay procedure: 2h30 at 37°C.
