The ESTR-US-CT kit is based on the principle of competition for binding with an immuno-serum adsorbed onto the inner walls of coated tubes. In conformity with recommendations, the kit has been standardized with the GC-MS. Its excellent sensitivity (detection limit 5 pmol/L, functional sensitivity 10 pg/mL) and its very low cross-reactivity with estrone (0.97%) make this kit an outstanding tool for investigations.

Assay principle

Coated tubes
The principle of the assay is based on a two-step competition. A first step consists of an incubation of the samples in the coated tubes onto which anti-estradiol polyclonal antibodies are adsorbed. In the second step, a 125I-estradiol tracer is added to saturate the remaining free antibody sites. Any unbound tracer is then removed.
*Assay procedure: 1h at 37°C + 1 h at 37°C.
