The IRMA-C-PEP kit is designed for an immunoradiometric (IRMA) type of assay, used on serum, plasma or urine samples. Two monoclonal antibodies, one labelled with iodine 125 and the other adsorbed onto the inner walls of the tubes, enable a sensitive, specific assay (detection limit 0.012 nmol/L) of Peptide-C. Standardization has been carried out on NIBSC 84 /510.

두개의 단일클론성 항체는 샌드위치법에 사용된다.
첫번째 단일클론성 항체는 튜브 벽에 흡착되어 있고, Iodine 125가 표지된 두번째 단일클론성 항체는 추적자로 사용된다. 검사 전에 소변 샘플은 희석하여 사용한다(1/21).
