The TESTO-CT2 assay is based on a one step protocol. The detection limit, as low as 0.1 nmol/L, suits endocrinology requirements (for children < 0.35 nmol /L and for women 2.4 nmol /L). An optional extraction protocol is available to enhance technical performance when assaying female sera. As recommended, the kit is standardized against GC-MS (working range to 50 nmol/l).
